Responsible for cost reduction, cash improvement opportunities, supply risk management, and sourcing initiatives and tools. May support management of accounts payable ledger and purchase order transaction management. Will assist and may lead negotiate highly complex sourcing contracts..As a Logistics Sourcing Specialist – LATAM, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by leading LATAM logistics RFPs, dray, cartage, freight audit, and more.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Problem Solving: Utilize analytical thinking and Leverage market insights, data analytics, and supplier information to develop innovative solutions.Sourcing Process Management: Lead LATAM transportation RFPs, cartage, freight audit and other logistics contracts.Contract Negotiation and Supplier Management: Negotiate sourcing contracts and build strategic relationships with key suppliers.Develop a contract repository system and a methodology for tracking contract expirations. To ensure compliance with corporate sourcing policies and procedures.Negotiate and renew contracts with logistics suppliers that support plant operations.Claims and Cost Management: Manage major claims against carriers. Drive and support the implementation of cost-saving programs and opportunities. Review less-than truckload, cartage, drayage cost structures to identify opportunities for savings.RFI/RFP and Contract Standardization: Conduct RFIs and RFPs to identify the most suitable carriers.Market Analysis and Process Improvement: Analyze market trends related to transportation to proactively engage suppliers for future sourcing decisions.Your Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university and a minimum of (5) years of experience in logistics or Sourcing/procurement.Five (5) years of cost & cash savings negotiation experience with Supplier Owners/Stakeholders, Key Account Managers/Directors & Company Leaders / Decision MakersFluent in English.Spanish Mid Level.Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Excellent verbal and written communications.Strong program management and problem solving skills and collaboration across teams, functions and organization.Initiative, self-starter with a positive & pro-active approachVery engaging, successfully collaborating with internal & external stakeholders on complex projectsFinancial acumen and comfort with conducting business analytics, contract management, etc.Supporting Your Well-being3M offers many programs to help you live your best life – both physically and financially.
