Job Description
SUMMARY OF POSITION AND OBJECTIVES:
The Release Manager role will be responsible for deploying builds across the environment, on-boarding new environment, handling transversal projects and creating release management related documents and sharing the release plan with stakeholders
Manage risks and resolves issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality
Facilitate release activities across all releases, mainly with ensuring quality, timely deployments across environments
Maintain the release schedule for all core services and ensure alignment across key partners and vendors
Coordinate release content and effort based on the service request backlog, pending service requests, third party applications, or operating system updates
Communicate all key project plans, commitments, and changes including QA plans, schedule, and scope changes
Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews with stakeholders
Produce Deployment, Run Books and Implementation Plans
Participate in CAB meetings to present Production changes (RFCs)
Lead and co-ordinate the Go-Live activities including the execution of the deployment Plans and checklists
Weekly Release Reporting with Program release manager
Own and continually improve the release process by documenting release issues and developing plans to improve processes, able to recommend continuous improvements viz: automation
Comfortable in interacting with people across hierarchical levels for smooth project execution. Enjoys managing complex projects involving challenges.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
English Language is mandatory to collaborate in a global environment, including writing, speaking and presenting
Understanding of Continuous Delivery and Continuous Integration (CD/CI) pipelines
Good understanding of cloud deployment, preferably Azure and Agile practice
Knowledge on Deployment tool like Octopus
Knowledge on MS Project, Excel-Macros
Document Management for adhere to Audit Compliance process is an added advantage
4 to 5 years of relevant release and deployment management experience
Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams towards task completion
Demonstrated effective leadership and analytical skills
Strong in troubleshooting and organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
