We are looking for a remote, full-time AI / ML Engineer with 4+ years of machine learning experience, preferably within MarTech SaaS companies, to join the engineering team of our U.S. client. You will join our client's innovative, growing team on a mission to unleash the power of culture for growing organizational brands at a time of global, seismic cultural transformation.

You will work with the AI / ML Manager on the Data Science team, developing agentic AI workflows with customized hybrid retrieval and contextual pipelines. The right candidate will have the opportunity to develop a wide range of machine learning and AI techniques to create features for the client's UI / UX and internal tools. You will work collaboratively with, and be a key member of, the research and development team, collaborating closely with software engineers, research teams, and product design, creating novel methods for automating the generation of these data-driven insights from PoC all the way to deployment at scale within the client platform.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a wide range of data science techniques, including supervised and unsupervised learning, dimensionality reduction, network analyses, natural language processing, statistical analyses, classification, and similarity modelling.
  • Partner with product and engineering teams to execute in an Agile development environment.
  • Research market trends and innovations in data technologies and analytical approaches to drive innovation while facilitating data platform scalability
  • Develop features with LLMs, VLMs, and ViTs that enable analysis, summarization, and production-ready output of content using the client's internal research data.
  • Develop and maintain strong retrieval augmented generation pipelines with customized time sensitivity, hybrid search methods, and weighting.
  • Develop REST API Endpoints to allow the application's backend to service from the client's AI workflows, maintaining and monitoring token expenditure, latency, and related metrics.
  • Experience with prompt engineering for complex and multi-agent pipelines efficiently, ensuring regression compatibility and with guardrails for hallucination.
  • Develop and design integrations and MCPs with both unstructured and structured data into efficient tools used by AI Agents.

Required Experience

  • Excellent English communication and teamwork skills
  • 4+ years of professional experience as a data scientist, preferably in the marketing area
  • 4+ years of relevant work experience in a machine learning or data science role; experience specifically in consumer advertising and marketing or social media is a plus
  • Strong Python skills and/or other platforms and languages (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, SQL, R) and Python libraries
  • Business experience solving analytical issues through quantitative approaches and machine learning methods, as well as experience using advanced statistical methods, data mining techniques, and information retrieval
  • Experience in applying data science methodologies to solve problems, particularly in the marketing domain
  • Experience working with AI and machine learning for product development with LiteLLM, CrewAI, Langchain, Langraph, and similar wrappers.
  • Experience working with AI observability, tracing, spans, and tools tracking (DataDog Observability, Langfuse, Langchain, Arize, or others)
  • Knowledge of probability and statistics (e.g., distributions, hypothesis testing, time series concepts, Bayesian framework)
  • Truly a team player: likes to work with others to get a clear understanding of the context around the data; can happily interact with extraverted thinkers; and can adapt to new information
  • High comfort in analyzing and manipulating large, complex, high-dimensional data from numerous sources
  • Experience working in a cloud environment (AWS preferred)
  • Curiosity and passion for learning
  • Proven delivery experience in a vibrant, dynamic startup environment
  • Trustworthy, team-oriented, and transparent

Desired Experience

  • Advanced university degree (master's degree or equivalent degree) in computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, physics, econometrics, or equivalent quantitative fields
