We’re hiring: Social Lead / Social Media & Community Manager
Earned Media Productions (EMP) is looking for someone who can turn podcasts into growth engines — and build engaged communities around them.
This role sits at the intersection of content distribution, social strategy, and audience engagement.
What you’ll do:
• Own daily posting across TikTok, IG Reels, YouTube Shorts, X, and more
• Turn podcast episodes into high-performing short-form content
• Decide what clips get posted, when, and where
• Manage comments, DMs, and community engagement across platforms
• Help shape the voice and presence of brands online
• Analyze performance and double down on what works
Key Responsibilities1. Content Distribution & Posting
* Own daily posting across all social platforms (TikTok, IG Reels, YouTube Shorts, X, etc.)
* Manage scheduling, captions, hashtags, and formatting per platform
* Ensure consistent, high-volume output of podcast clips
2. Podcast Clip Strategy
* Turn long-form podcast episodes into a structured content distribution plan
* Decide what clips get posted, when, and where
* Collaborate with editors to guide clip selection and packaging (hooks, titles, formats)
3. Growth & Optimization
* Analyze performance data to identify winning formats, topics, and hooks
* Continuously iterate on posting strategy to increase:
* Views
* Engagement
* Follower growth
* A/B test captions, formats, and posting times
4. Platform Expertise
* Stay on top of trends, algorithm changes, and best practices across platforms
* Adapt content strategy accordingly (e.g., TikTok vs. Reels vs. Shorts nuances)
5. Systems & Organization
* Build and manage a content calendar + distribution system
* Track posted content and performance metrics
* Ensure no content bottlenecks between editing → posting → reporting
6. Collaboration
* Work closely with:
* Editors (to refine clips)
* Creators/clients (to align on voice and goals)
* Leadership (to align on growth strategy)
What we’re looking for:
• Experience growing social accounts (especially short-form video)
• Strong understanding of TikTok / Reels / Shorts
• Someone who actually gets internet culture + audience behavior
• Ability to manage both content output + community interaction
Must-Haves
* 2–4+ years managing social media accounts (preferably podcast or creator-led content)
* Proven experience growing accounts through short-form video
* Deep understanding of TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts
* Strong instincts for what makes content go viral
* Experience managing high-volume posting (multiple posts/day)
* Fluent in English - Speaking and Writing.
Nice-to-Haves
* Experience working with podcasts or long-form content
* Background in content editing or scripting
* Familiarity with tools like:
* Asana/ Slack
* Social schedulers (Later, Hootsuite, etc.)
* Analytics tools
* Experience managing multiple brands or clients
Bonus:
• Experience with podcasts or creator-led brands
• Background in content editing or scripting
• Experience building or managing online communities
This is a high-impact role with real ownership across content, distribution, and community.
