Remote Support Engineer
This is a fully remote position working East Coast hours. As a key member of the technical team, you will provide support and guidance for complex application needs.
About the Role
You will be responsible for liaising between IT and business stakeholders to ensure client satisfaction with complex IT design and development of efficient business systems.
Main Responsibilities:
* Participate in architectural discussions to evaluate proposed solutions.
* Support and implement solutions to ensure successful introduction across the organization and with clients.
* Perform technical analysis and prepare recommendations as needed.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent work experience required.
* 5+ years of related production support experience required, with experience in the securities or financial services industry a plus.
* Programming/scripting skills in Java, Python, C++, Django, etc., and ability to learn new languages.
* Experience with various app/networking monitoring tools, such as Splunk, Appdynamics, Prometheus, etc.
* Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to work with global teams.
A strong understanding of DevOps, Agile, and Lean principles is beneficial. Experience in platform engineering, cloud, virtualization, MQ, database, network, ITIL, and service management is preferred.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong analytical skills, comfortable talking to development, production, and infrastructure teams, and able to prioritize tasks accordingly.
