Regulatory Research Analyst
We are seeking an experienced Regulatory Research Analyst to join our Tax & Regulations team as a global independent support provider. This fully remote role focuses on researching and tracking global trade regulations —primarily across LATAM and North America—and contributing insights that help keep SAP GTS systems up to date for clients worldwide.
The analyst will act as the first point of contact for new legal and regulatory changes and work closely with Business Analysts and ERP/GTS specialists. Client interaction is minimal; the role is primarily research-oriented, requiring strong analytical and documentation skills with excellent attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
* Monitor and maintain awareness of legislative and regulatory changes in assigned countries using government websites, agencies, third-party sources, and in-country experts.
* Track global trade compliance regulations, including customs duties, export controls, sanctions, tariff updates, and other relevant requirements across jurisdictions (U.S., Canada, LATAM, etc.).
* Interpret, analyze, and document new or amended legislation in an internal repository with high accuracy and clarity.
* Prepare comparative analyses of regulatory changes when required.
* Ensure research and documentation meet ISO process standards .
SAP GTS Alignment:
* Research and provide insights relevant to SAP GTS (v11 or similar), supporting product specialists on topics such as:
* Export Control & Licensing
* Import Control & Market Access
* Sanctions & Restricted Party Compliance
* Customs & Tariff Management
* Trade Agreements & Origin Management
* Regulatory Reporting & Declarations
* Product & Classification Compliance
* Collaboration & Documentation
The successful candidate will deliver clear summaries and detailed regulatory insights needed by ERP and product specialists to implement system changes for clients. They will also collaborate with Business Analysts and fellow researchers to validate findings and maintain consistency.
This role requires proficiency in business applications (Microsoft Office, Google tools, SharePoint, etc.) and experience compiling complex regulatory information into clear, actionable summaries.
