Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled IT professional with extensive IT service management experience to lead the development and enhancement of our platform. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in configuration management database, discovery, integrations, and related IT service management modules.
Main Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and implement complex IT solutions including CMDB, Discovery, and Service Mapping.
* Experience with configuring and customizing Servicenow applications and modules.
* Lead development of integrations between Servicenow and other enterprise systems.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
* Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance.
* Ensure best practices in coding, testing, and deployment.
* Provide solutions that utilize most out of the box features without requiring customizations.
* Facilitate the reuse of code, components, and proven patterns; Influence common modeling, design, and coding practices.
* Perform upgrade testing by validating customizations, configurations, and integrations across major and minor Servicenow releases.
* Develop and maintain Automated Test Framework (ATF) test suites to validate core Servicenow functionalities, ensuring stability and reducing manual regression efforts.
* Troubleshoot and resolve platform issues.
* Maintain documentation for development and configuration.
Requirements
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
2. 5-7 years of Servicenow development experience with a focus on IT service management.
3. Strong knowledge of CMDB, CSDM, Discovery, Service Mapping, and Integrations.
4. Proficient in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Glide API, REST/SOAP integrations, and Servicenow scripting.
5. Experience with automation and DevOps practices, familiarity with continuous integration (CI/CD), code versioning tools such as Git, and Agile principles.
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
7. Ability to establish strong relationships internally and externally.
8. Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
9. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
10. Experience with AI, Virtual Agent, Robot Process Automation (RPA)
11. Certified Application Developer (CAD)
12. Certified System Administrator (CSA)
13. Certified Implementation Specialist – Discovery
14. Certified Implementation Specialist - Service Mapping
