About the roleThe role of the IT system engineer can be both challenging and rewarding. This role requires strong technical expertise, along with business acumen, interpersonal skills, and a passion for continuous improvement. As a Systems Engineer, you will be a member of a global IT operations team. Your main responsibilities include designing, implementing, and maintaining IT infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the stability, security, and scalability of our systems, as well as participate in on-call team rotations. Your expertise in infrastructure as code, systems infrastructure, cloud technologies, and network infrastructure will be crucial in driving our success.This is a FULL Remote position so good home internet is required, and hours will be, Monday - Friday between 8:00AM and 5:00 PM in the employee’s time zone.Key Responsibilities:
- Infrastructure as Code: Develop and manage infrastructure through automation using Ansible, Terraform, Python, PowerShell, and Azure CLI.
- Systems Infrastructure: Implement and maintain virtualization, containerization (Docker), SAN, BDR, and patch/vulnerability management solutions for Windows and Linux
- Cloud: Manage and optimize cloud services, including Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Entra, and Exchange Online.
- Network Infrastructure: Design and maintain network infrastructure, including routing, switching, firewall policy, VPNs (point-to-point and site-to-site), SD-WAN, load balancers, ACLs and NSGsQualifications:
- Effective communication in English (oral and written).
- 3-5 years’ experience as a Systems Engineer or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure as code tools (Ansible, Terraform, Python, PowerShell, Azure CLI).
- Experience with systems infrastructure technologies (virtualization, containerization, Docker, SAN, BDR, patch/vulnerability management).
- Proficiency in cloud services (Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Entra, Exchange Online).
- Solid understanding of network infrastructure (routing, switching, firewall policies, SD-WAN, load balancers, VPNs, ACLs, NSGs).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Self-motivated, take initiative and ownership of your duties
- Enjoy working in a collaborative environment, value mentorship, and can balance priorities
- Team player but can also operate independentlyPreferred Qualifications:
- Experience with automation and orchestration tools.
