Business Data Analyst Job Description
As a Business Data Analyst, you will be responsible for working directly with product managers and product owners to gather business requirements and document them.
The ideal candidate will have a combination of IT and business experience, with a focus on supply chain areas.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work directly with the product managers & product owners for Business Requirements Gathering & documentation
* Be part of Agile Product Delivery
* Good to have Power BI, Snowflake, SAP ERP and SAP HANA, SQL knowledge
* Leverage reporting Tools for Analysis like Office, Power BI etc
* Develop roadmaps to drive the company forward
* Act as a liaison across all areas such as business units, information technology, and outside customers by investigating relevant information and creating recommendations
* Continuously refine Product Backlog Items together with the Scrum Team and other subject matter experts to ensure the team understands those items to the level needed for them to estimate and plan to work during sprint planning
* Established background in launching software/solutions or services in partnership with business and engineering teams
* High degree of proficiency in wireframes, prototyping, iterative development, understanding of agile principles
* Ability to inspire a team to act as a small business jointly accountable for its product
* Experience successfully driving end-to-end delivery of highly innovative products, including a wide variety of mechanisms (e.g., digital core, dashboards, APIs, cloud, e-commerce, real-time alerts, artificial intelligence)
* Outstanding organizational, communication, relationship-building, and collaboration skills at all levels
* Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills, prioritization and time management skills
* Understanding of cloud data lakes and data warehouse systems (systems and data)
* Familiarity with MS Power BI for Business reporting and Self-service
* Prior experience working for a global, highly matrixed, Consumer Packaged Goods company, preferably in the Supply Chain domains
* Knowledge of the CPG market, industry trends, and customer needs to help inform the product vision and roadmap
* Experience creating automated data quality management rules
