An exciting opportunity has arisen as Handling Operations Manager for North & Central America. The Handling division services Deck Machinery equipment across all the main vessel segments. In this role you will be responsible for the management of the business area, as well as the employees in this organization. The tasks are challenging and range from leadership and strategy to technical discussions and customer meetings.
**Key accountabilities**
- Day to day leadership and personnel responsibility for the GCS Handling team in the sub-region
- Create a workplace culture that is consistent with KM's values, customer oriented and emphasizes teamwork, quality, continuous improvement, and high performance.
- Ownership to strategic goals and business development
- Setting yearly budget and budget follow up of economic results.
- Motivate and supervise staff to achieve set business goals and common KPIs.
- Empower employees to achieve efficient decision making throughout all levels of the organization.
- Ensure strategic workforce planning and skill development.
- Provide support and collaboration to all other divisions and departments in KM Americas
- Report KPI's and implement corrective actions to improve overall quality of service and profitability.
- Customer Satisfaction - Develop, Implement, Facilitate, and Improve KM America's customer relationships.
**Qualifications and experience**
- Excellent leadership skills
- Experience with Handling equipment or in the marine industry
- Bachelor's Degree or higher within Engineering, Technical or similar
- Relevant experience may compensate for a formal degree.
- Work experience from service, commissioning, or project management
- Motivational and collaborative
- Ability to manage high workload in a hectic environment.
- Accept travelling, as required.
