Responsibilities:
Coordinate the Quality Control department at the factory (Casting and Machining), ensuring product quality and customer satisfaction. Implement standardized training in Quality Tools and Continuous Improvement, applying them to productive processes to generate consistent results in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People, Maintenance, and Environment in a sustainable manner.
Oversee activities related to inspection of cast and machined products.
Ensure standards and procedures are established and followed.
Support work teams in implementing standardized Quality systems, including inspections of Experimental, Pilot, Layout Inspection, and Production parts.
Utilize performance/cost improvement strategies as drivers.
Develop and support Quality initiatives to meet internal and external customer needs.
Develop and support Safety actions to improve working conditions aiming for zero accidents.
Manage quality indicators focusing on continuous improvement, coordinating the application of 8D methodologies to address major deviations.
Supervise Receiving of Components, Control dissemination, Metrology, Calibration, and Devices areas.
Qualifications:
Completed higher education in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering (preferably) or related fields.
Intermediate English, preferably advanced.
Experience in automotive/auto parts companies (preferably).
Experience in scaled audits.
Knowledge of IATF 16949, APQP, FMEA, Six Sigma, Lean, 5S, TPM, PPAP, 8D, and problem-solving methodologies.
Good relationship management and communication with clients and suppliers.
Strong communication, conflict management, and people management skills.
Experience with VDA 6.3.
