**What You Will Do**
Quality & Compliance Specialist - Regional Hygienist who leads, establishes and maintains microbiological prevention and quality control laboratories improvements, by influencing programs for LATAM, managing quality assurance procedures and controls, ensuring that product performance parameters and elements of the quality system are continuously measured, maintained, and implemented to enhance the capability of the production process.
This function is the Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible for microbiological control topics in production processes and will work with End-to-End Quality organization, and cross-functional partners to identify, investigate, and resolve Quality issues related to microbiological process controls, contributing to Compliance and Reliability. Also responsible for design and implement the strategy for quality controls laboratories for the future, with outside-in focus, considering external trends and innovations.
**What We Are Looking For**
- Application of standards and regulatory requirements in the cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and medical devices industries, as well as internal policies for microbiological monitoring and control in the manufacturing processes and laboratories of Latin America sites and external manufacturers.
- Directly responsible for addressing issues, manage projects, assess risks, and solve problems related to microbiological contamination.
- Lead the community of practices and governance of action plans for Microbiological Management programs.
- Conduct audits and process evaluations at different plants for risk mapping, as well as disseminating training and certification programs for all functional levels at the SJC site.
- Gathers data and performs trend analyses to be reported in leadership review meetings.
- Leadership of process optimization projects for quality control laboratories, focusing on agility, compliance and innovation.
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible for microbiological control topics in the plant's production processes.
- Represent LATAM in global discussions in order to influence global guidelines and policies, with a business perspective and taking into consideration local regulations
**Requirements**:
- Bachelors in Biology, Chemistry, Pharmacy, or related fields.
- Solid experience in quality management in regulated manufacturing environments of chemical products, cosmetics, or FMCG industry.
- Strong experience in Microbiological Management in an industrial environment.
- Strong leadership skills are necessary, particularly in programs deployment and projects management.
- Essential written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be capable of developing and maintaining relationships/partnerships and working collaboratively both internally and externally.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and Cosmetic Regulations (RDCs).
- Availability to travel up to 30% of the time.
- Intermediate Spanish and Portuguese and advanced English are required.
- Preferred knowledge and experience with data analysis tools such as Power BI and Minitab.
- Previous experience with high complex and multi-cultural project management is an advantage.
