NatureCo has extensive expertise in working with local communities to protect and restore natural ecosystems through participation in the global voluntary carbon market.

NatureCo is currently implementing a large-scale reforestation project in Brazil for the generation of verified carbon credits.

We are a diverse, mission-driven team that values inclusion, integrity, and innovation. NatureCo is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer, committed to building an equitable and inclusive workplace for all.

Role and responsibilities

The Landholder and Reforestation Delivery Manager is the primary field-based interface with landholders, communities, reforestation contractors, and other local stakeholders for NatureCo’s projects in Brazil. This position will build and manage a pipeline of landholders interested in reforestation, lead outreach and onboarding, coordinate site inspections, lead the collection of relevant data required for carbon standard checks, and lead signature of landholder agreements. The role will also play a key role in ensuring compliance (contracts and carbon standards) as well as coordinate schedules between landholders and contractors for the implementation of reforestation activities. This will include confirming site readiness, conducting periodic field quality audits, documenting and tracking progress, and resolving issues that could delay delivery or degrade quality.

The role requires a strong combination stakeholder engagement and management experience, and a commitment to quality and impact. The role requires extensive travel and field work across Minas Gerais, Bahia and Espírito Santo.

Primary roles and responsibilities include:

Landholder engagement, onboarding, and pipeline management

* Map priority municipalities and referral partner networks (city governments, co-ops, farmer associations, NGOs); plan and run outreach activities, events and information sessions.
* Manage the landholder onboarding process (identify → qualify → onboard → contract), using CRM/trackers to keep status, documents and next actions current.
* Prepare clear information packs (benefits, obligations, timelines) and respond to inquiries in a timely, professional manner.
* Maintain ongoing landholder relationship management to support retention, satisfaction, and smooth site access throughout implementation.

Eligibility, due diligence & agreements

* Coordinate site inspections and initial diagnostics in consultation with other team members (parcel boundaries, vegetation status, access, water, risks).
* Support land tenure verification and FPIC documentation
* Lead closure of contract signatures.
* Maintain organized repository of all landholder records within NatureCo’s data management system

(land titles, eligibility documents, contracts, site maps, inspection notes, photos, consultation records).

Reforestation delivery enablement

* Translate signed landholder agreements into implementation-ready site plans (site-specific scope, access instructions, constraints, schedule windows).
* Align field schedules with landholders and contractors to ensure access, minimize disruption to farm activities, and maintain trust and cooperation.
* Support in the delivery of field delivery progress from contractors by site (start/finish dates, activities completed, challenges, next steps), and escalate issues early (access, weather delays, input shortages, labor constraints).
* Support in monitoring reforestation activities (during and post planting) and coordinate, where required, rapid response with contractors/landholders (grazing, fire risk, pests, drought stress).

Stakeholder engagement and safeguards

* Plan and document stakeholder consultations and community meetings in accordance with NatureCo policies and procedures (agendas, attendance lists, minutes, photos).
* Support the team in the operation of the grievance mechanism: receiving grievances and responding in accordance with the NatureCo grievance mechanism.
* Maintain landholder contact and ensure landholder information is kept up to date.
* Coordinate access, for other project staff and contractors as required.

Reporting

* Lead or assist the development of formal monthly, quarterly, and annual project implementation reports for internal and external stakeholders in line with contract and/or carbon standard requirements.
* Prepare ad hoc reports, documents, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

Teamwork and culture

* Support the management of a cross-functional, international team, fostering collaboration and ensuring that project milestones and goals are met.
* Stay current on emerging best practices in NbS and carbon projects; proactively share insights across the organisation and with partners.

Skills and attributes

To perform successfully in this role, you will have:

* A minimum of five (5) years of experience in reforestation projects with direct contact with rural landholders and reforestation planting service providers.
* Degree in forest engineering, agronomy, ecology, or environmental science.
* Intermediate English and native Portuguese language skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently across cultures and stakeholder groups.
* Strong project management skills, including experience managing timelines, deliverables, and working across multidisciplinary teams.

* A collaborative mindset and ability to lead and motivate internal teams and external partners
* Ability to provide strategic and technical guidance across complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail in documentation and reporting.
* A positive, energetic personality with resilience and drive to see projects through to delivery.
