The State Manager position is a key leadership role that oversees the delivery of volume, distribution, merchandising, and pricing performance across Florida. This includes managing wholesaler and major customer relationships, developing and executing sales programming, managing budgets, and marketing programs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with Regional Sales Managers to develop and execute annual sales plans and manage sales budgets.
* Manage Company brand portfolios within assigned geographies, ensuring proper management of depletions and inventory by SKU to prevent out-of-stocks and plan for future growth.
* Develop and manage relationships with wholesaler personnel.
* Ensure the planning and implementation of sales programming in all markets.
* Ensure the planning and execution of price structures and shelf prices in the market.
* Utilize Point-of-Sale (POS) and other marketing assets effectively in the field with correct programs.
* Participate in the development of program-specific POS.
* Cultivate Key Accounts in the market under the direction of Regional Sales Managers.
* Implement creative programs to activate consumers.
* Maintain regular market surveys to ensure standard execution of distribution, pricing, POS, displays, programs, menus, and ads.
* Travel as necessary to observe business conditions and interact with key buyers, distributor personnel, and Company sales staff.
* Attend Company and wholesaler planning and sales meetings.
Qualifications & Experience:
* A minimum of 5 years' experience in the beverage alcohol industry.
* Strong knowledge of wholesale operations, creating share of mind, and quota rotation.
* Good understanding of wholesaler programming and pricing strategies.
* Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills to direct Company brands.
* Established relationships with wholesaler management are an advantage.
* Ability to thrive in an intimate, entrepreneurial business environment, requiring minimal supervision.
* Focused individuals with strong planning and organizational skills.
* Financially responsible and knowledgeable about budget management.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
* Excellent verbal communication skills, particularly presentation skills.
* A valid driver's license and ability to drive and travel regularly.
