Empower kaiako: Build teacher capability to deliver inclusive classroom programmes.
Collaborate with whānau: Ensure parents and caregivers are integral partners in their child’s learning journey.
Liaise with agencies: Work closely with the Ministry of Education (MoE) and other providers to access specialised resources.

Identification and tracking: Develop and maintain a register of students with learning support needs. Monitor progress and use data to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
Teacher support: Provide coaching and professional development for kaiako.
Planning and coordination: Lead the development of Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) and ensure smooth transitions for students moving between year levels or schools.
Resource management: Oversee the allocation of Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) and specialised equipment.
