About the Common Lives Project:
The project aims to collect real-world footage that trains AI systems. Participants will wear GoPro cameras while performing daily tasks and upload the footage securely.
Key Responsibilities:
* Record 5 days of activities within a 2-week window
* Wear a head-mounted camera for at least 7 hours per day, with breaks allowed
* Review clips and choose to delete, anonymize, or consent to each video segment
Household Requirements:
* No children under 18 present during the recording period
* All adults must be fluent English speakers and provide consent
* Private living space required
* Everyone in the household must agree to appear in the footage
Participant Eligibility:
* Indoor work environment only (e.g., no customer-facing roles)
* Preferably engaged in manual or creative work (e.g., chef, baker, artist)
* Self-employed or employer consent required
* Able to use a computer for basic tasks
Technical Requirements:
* Access to a computer and internet connection
* Comfortable using web-based tools for uploading and reviewing clips
* GoPro camera and accessories provided
