Under the direction of the Director of Housekeeping, the Housekeeping Aide is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing rooms and furnishings in assigned areas, following established policies and procedures, and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout the facility.
Responsibilities include:
1. Performing cleaning duties in assigned areas as scheduled, using approved cleaning agents and equipment, and following proper procedures.
2. Dusting, damp wiping, spot cleaning, washing, sanitizing, and polishing fixtures, furnishings, and surfaces in residents’ rooms, including TVs, radios, pictures, feeding tables, light fixtures, shelves, chairs, tables, beds, bed frames, nightstands, bed rails, and other surfaces.
Qualifications:
* Housekeeping experience preferred.
* Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
* Patience, tact, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude toward the elderly and disabled.
* Ability to perform essential job functions and meet physical and sensory requirements.
