Position OverviewGreen Leaf Productions is seeking a full-time Segment Producer with solid experience in news, film, television, or unscripted content production. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented producer who can manage individual story segments or episodes from pre-production through delivery—while maintaining high creative standards and production efficiency.As Segment Producer, you'll take ownership of assigned segments, working closely with directors, story producers, and editors to ensure that each portion of the production supports the overall story arc and production goals.Key ResponsibilitiesProduce individual segments within larger productions, including interviews, scripted elements, and documentary-style contentWork with the creative team to develop segment outlines, interview questions, and production plansCoordinate pre-production logistics such as location scouting, casting, and schedulingManage on-site production for assigned segments, working with crew, talent, and clientsAssist with scripting or segment notes, and support writers and editors through post-productionEnsure each segment aligns with project goals, brand messaging, and creative visionGather and organize release forms, production notes, and legal documentation for your segmentsReview footage and contribute to rough cuts with editorial feedback or script revisionsTrack deliverables, timelines, and production budgets for your assigned contentQualifications3+ years of experience in a producer or associate producer role in film, TV, or digital mediaProven experience managing production of individual content segments or short-form storiesFamiliarity with documentary, branded, unscripted, or news-style production formatsStrong organizational and project management skillsSolid writing and interviewing abilityExperience working on set and leading small to mid-size production crewsKnowledge of production planning tools, call sheets, and basic budgetingAbility to juggle multiple segments or projects under tight deadlinesFamiliarity with post-production workflows and editing software is a plus (Avid, Adobe Premiere Pro, etc.)
