I’m partnering with a leading consultancy delivering a large-scale Cloud, DevOps & Data transformation for a major global organisation in the aviation sector. We are expanding multiple engineering teams and are now hiring a Senior GitHub Engineer to support the modernisation of engineering practices across product and data teams.
You will design and articulate end-to-end solutions at a high level, adapt architecture when requirements evolve, and confidently engage with senior technical stakeholders (architects, security, third parties). GitHub must be a core platform responsibility, not just CI/CD usage.
Skills & Responsibilities
Act as an enablement-focused DevOps engineer, partnering with engineering teams to modernise CI/CD workflows and SDLC practices .
Design, build, and maintain advanced GitHub Actions pipelines, including reusable workflows and deployment automation.
Support adoption of Terraform-driven Infrastructure as Code, promoting modern cloud and automation standards.
Provide hands-on support for AWS-native applications, including serverless, event-driven, and container-based workloads.
Develop automation and tooling using Python and Shell, improving delivery speed, reliability, and developer experience.
Coach engineering teams on shift-left practices, including testing, security, observability, and deployment automation.
Collaborate with platform, data, and operational teams to align tooling, standards, and governance.
Support cloud-based data workloads and AI/ML integrations, contributing to modern data platform delivery.
Act as a trusted technical advisor, helping teams troubleshoot, optimise, and scale cloud and delivery patterns.
