API Software Specialist
We are looking for an expert to lead our API development efforts. As an API software specialist, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable APIs using industry-standard technologies like Apigee, KrakenD, and AWS API Gateway.
Key Responsibilities:
* Create robust backend services using Java (Spring Boot) and frontend applications using JavaScript/TypeScript with React or Angular.
* Implement secure and scalable API architectures using REST, gRPC, and GraphQL protocols.
* Work closely with Agile teams to deliver high-quality software solutions and ensure seamless integration of new features.
* Develop cloud-based infrastructure using AWS or GCP platforms for deployment, scaling, and monitoring purposes.
* Utilize CI/CD pipelines (ADO Pipelines), GitHub, Docker, and Kubernetes to manage code, build processes, and deployments efficiently.
* Write unit, integration, and automated tests using tools like Cucumber and Mockito to ensure quality and reliability.
* Promote cross-organization API standards, documentation, and best practices through collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Required Skills & Experience:
* At least 5 years of overall professional experience in software development.
* Strong proficiency in Java (Spring Boot) and API management platforms (Apigee/KrakenD/AWS Gateway).
* Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and containerization tools (Docker).
* Expertise in modern front-end frameworks like React or Angular and TypeScript/JavaScript.
* Detailed understanding of API protocols and architectural patterns (REST, gRPC, GraphQL).
* Experience with CI/CD tools (ADO Pipelines), version control systems (GitHub), and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
* Ability to write clear documentation and contribute to API governance efforts.
