Junior Accounting Analyst Role
The Junior Accounting Analyst will play a pivotal role in the accounting department, assisting with daily accounting activities and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data.

The analyst will be responsible for supporting various accounting functions, including journal entries, reconciliations, and assisting with month-end closing processes.

Key Job Responsibilities:
1. Journal Entries:
o Assist in making journal entries in financial and accounting systems, ensuring transactions are correctly classified and recorded.
o Record routine operations such as payments, receipts, billing, and payroll, among others.
2. Account Reconciliation:
o Perform bank reconciliations, and reconcile accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory, and other balance sheet accounts.
o Identify and investigate potential discrepancies, and accurately and timely reconcile balances.
3. Account Analysis and Variance Analysis:
o Analyze accounting accounts, identifying variations, trends, and anomalies in balances.
o Prepare account analysis reports and explain variances to the accounting team.
4. Financial Reporting:
o Assist in preparing periodic financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
o Collect and organize financial data to support management's decision-making.
5. Compliance with Tax and Regulatory Requirements:
o Assist in preparing the necessary documentation and information to meet tax obligations, including tax returns and ancillary obligations.
o Stay up-to-date with accounting and tax regulations, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and laws.
6. Support for Audits and Closing Processes:
o Collaborate with internal and external auditors by providing requested documentation and information accurately and on time.
o Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of accounting records.
Requirements:
* Technical or bachelor's degree in accounting.
* Basic knowledge of financial accounting and accounting principles.
* Familiarity with accounting systems and the Office suite, especially Excel.
* Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
* Effective verbal and written communication.
