Role Description
The Public Relations Manager manages client campaigns by developing media strategies, conducting outreach, and maintaining communication with clients and media contacts.
This role ensures client visibility across national, regional, podcast, radio, and TV platforms, contributing to broader brand awareness and engagement.
PR Managers are key relationship builders and storytellers driving results by connecting the right narrative to the right outlet.
Responsibilities
* Develop and execute strategic PR plans tailored to each client
* Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients
* Build, grow, and create new client relationships
* Conduct media research and build targeted media lists
* Secure, filter, and respond to media opportunities
* Schedule and coordinate media interviews, ensuring all logistics are handled
* Follow up with media contacts to confirm placements and coverage timelines
* Monitor coverage through Google Alerts and track mentions or product features
* Facilitate writing projects with the team in alignment with client goals and deliverables
* Monitor news trends and identify timely angles for client exposure
* Provide daily client updates and maintain consistent communication
* Prepare and send biweekly and monthly reports and lookbooks
* Maintain updated media trackers to record media coverage and interview status
Key Performance Indicators
* Meet or exceed the expected number of interviews or media features
* Clients receive timely and proactive communication on campaign progress
* Media placements align with client goals, increase brand visibility, and credibility
* Clients recognize value from their engagement with us
* Accurate and updated documentation of all PR activities and client deliverables
Necessary Skills and Qualifications
* 40 hours plus per week to meet client needs
* Proven experience or education in public relations or a related communications field
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong organizational and time management abilities
* Proficient in Google Suite, Gmail, and media monitoring tools
* Creative and strategic thinker with a proactive mindset
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, remote-first team environment
* Persuasive and professional in client and media interactions
* Able to manage multiple accounts, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously
* High level of self-accountability and commitment to delivering results
