Lead the Enterprise Collaboration Engineering area into a future‑ready organization, ensuring robust, scalable, and innovative collaboration solutions. This role combines strategic leadership of subject matter experts with deep technical expertise, driving the evolution of enterprise collaboration platforms while guaranteeing architectural integrity and operational excellence. The Sr Lead acts as a trusted partner to the Enterprise Collaboration Architecture team, translating vision into actionable designs and fostering synergy across technology domains.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
Drive the Enterprise Collaboration Engineering area toward a future‑ready organization, fostering innovation and continuous improvement.
Lead and mentor a team of 5, including direct line management of 3 Area Leads (subject matter experts for technology towers).
Promote accountability, collaboration, and professional growth within the team.
Technology Strategy & Roadmap
Build and maintain a consolidated roadmap by integrating individual technology tower plans.
Align technology evolution with organizational priorities and major transformation initiatives.
Technical Design & Architecture
Own the low‑level design of enterprise collaboration solutions, ensuring technical accuracy and adherence to architectural standards.
Act as a trusted partner to the Enterprise Collaboration Architecture team, contributing to solution patterns, validating design decisions, and guaranteeing interoperability and scalability across platforms.
Translate architectural guidelines into practical technical specifications for implementation.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
Drive internal innovation and ensure Area Leads remain connected to external trends and internal changes.
Promote the adoption of emerging technologies and best practices to enhance collaboration solutions.
Budget & Governance
Own budget consolidation, tracking, and governance for the team and associated vendors.
Ensure compliance with financial and operational controls.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Build synergy with other areas such as Security, Identity, AI, Monitoring & Observability, and Networks.
Act as a key liaison to ensure integrated and secure end‑to‑end solutions.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master’s preferred.
5+ years of experience in enterprise collaboration technologies, with at least 2 years in leadership roles.
Proven expertise in Microsoft 365, Unified Communications, and related collaboration platforms in scope of Enterprise Collaboration team.
Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management capabilities.
Expertise in designing, consolidating, and developing mid, short, and long‑term technology roadmaps.
