QA Automation Engineer (Cypress / TypeScript)

Engagement: 6-month contract (possible extensions)
Overview
A client of Insight Global is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to join a Steady State team supporting a web-based application. This role will focus on ramping up automated testing efforts while supporting ongoing smoke and regression testing in a fast-paced, agile environment. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working through assigned tickets efficiently.
Responsibilities
* Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Cypress
* Write and maintain test automation in TypeScript
* Support smoke testing and regression testing for a web-based application
* Collaborate with developers and QA team members throughout the SDLC
* Work through assigned tickets efficiently to support steady-state development
* Contribute to overall test automation strategy and continuous improvement efforts
Required Skills & Experience
* Experience with automated testing using Cypress
* Proficiency in TypeScript for test scripting
* 1–2 years of hands-on software testing experience
* Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
* Experience supporting smoke and regression testing
Compensation: $20-34/hour (USD-depending on years of experience)
