The Production Planner/Scheduler is responsible for the processes of scheduling, by making sure that the Volume will be reached on a weekly basis with the proper support of materials, Manufacturing Engineer and Quality Engineer assumptions. Also following the priorities provided by Planning based on Customer needs and Days of inventory position in the Distribution Center. This role in addition will be responsible of the order creation, follow up of aging orders, cycle count owner for inventory material and work closely with Finance to adjust aging orders and Work order variances.
Responsibilities
Perform schedule allocation of the different production equipment/processes, including formulation, filtration and aseptic filling, packaging labeling and BioCoat.
Lead the Allocation process during the week in order to capture any variation to Revision Zero to the plan. Adjust based on capacity and customer needs with the Value Stream support.
Print, verify and deliver planned production orders to the respective production teams/processes.
Close, verify and resolve any problems with the closing of production orders, including the adjustment of materials in system and opening of quality events with production orders. Connect with Finance to make sure that financial differences are cover and understood.
Perform cycle counting of Kanban’s and investigate discrepancies to adjust financial numbers within the system. Look for systemic solutions approach to have the proper control on each one, clear role definition and dates.
Escalate any roadblock that can prevent a proper schedule to support Customer needs.
Keep Batch Tracker system updated with all relevant information as pertains to release date, workorder status, QC status, shipping status and elevate if items are not resolved within deadline.
Drive continuous improvements and driving implementation for the Media inventories, Allocation process and his/her day-to-day activities (apply Lean principles: Define Value, Map Value Stream, Create Flow, Establish Pull, Seek Perfection).
Follow all safety rules, SOPs, cGMP, work rules and other company policies and initiatives. Complete the relevant documentation following GDP/GMP guidelines.
Other tasks as directed by management, including solving multifunctional problems.
Qualifications
Require a minimum English level of B2
The Production Planner/Scheduler must have demonstrated a deep knowledge of all manufacturing processes related to the area.
You must have good computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Must have good skills with applications such as company management systems: D365, MasterControl, Power BI and SmartSheet.
Good operation and technical leadership, systematic problem‑solving skills for dealing with dynamic business challenges with factory or cross Value Stream.
Strong Influencing skills.
Talent to develop strategy and robust process related to a broad range of production delivery issues management.
Able to manage projects and stakeholder management.
Utilize data analysis tools and LEAN Ops methodologies to analyze areas of operational inefficiency and root out areas of waste.
Experience: Requires a minimum of 3 years of experience from medical device company.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry. Some other CAREER in the STEM area is preferred.
