ADP is hiring a Lead DevOps Engineer.

In this role, you will support engineers and contribute to innovative and flexible cloud solutions for automation, execution, and implementation of processes for reliable product delivery to the market across ADP's cloud-based systems. You will collaborate in designing cloud solutions alongside other architects and engineers across the company.
As part of a systems reliability team, you'll help address operational issues, working closely with architecture and product development to design and support CI/CD pipelines and Cloud initiatives. Adaptability and agility are key in this hands‑on role.
To succeed in this role, you'll need experience creating, executing, or troubleshooting end‑to‑end automation scripts for the Cloud. You should feel confident managing organizational change and supporting data migrations. You have a strong foundation as a full‑stack engineer and are passionate about automation. Experience with cloud‑orchestrated platforms over IaaS providers like AWS, GCE, and/or Azure, or on‑premise solutions is essential. Proficiency in Python and Groovy, with familiarity in Java/JVM, Spring Ecosystem, and other cloud‑native technologies is beneficial.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
* Blueprints and Strategy: Contribute to and support the current and future architectural blueprints to improve efficiency and align with business strategy.
* Scrum: Participate in daily scrums and agile ceremonies, including sprint demos, to discuss responsibilities and prioritize tasks.
* Team Support: Support engineering teams by identifying priorities, addressing challenges, and fostering a collaborative environment.
* Product Development: Use technical expertise to review work, provide feedback, and ensure products are polished and delivered effectively.
* Influence and Inspire: Present ideas to senior leaders, product owners, and peers, fostering confidence and demonstrating executive presence.
TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
* Strong background in software methodologies and best practices.
* Expertise in server‑side application development with Java and Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Data, etc.).
* Solid understanding of Windows and Linux server administration.
* Proficient in Python, Java, and object‑oriented programming.
* Hands‑on experience with CI/CD technologies, automation, and build tools (Gradle, Maven).
* Deep experience with database technologies, mainly RDBMS (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL), and familiarity with NoSQL is a plus.
* Experience with AWS cloud technologies and services.
* Knowledge of event‑driven systems, distributed systems, and observability tools like Splunk, Dynatrace, or Grafana.
* Strong collaboration and communication skills in agile environments.
