About the role:
At Innodata, we’re working with the world’s largest technology companies on the next generation of generative AI and large language models (LLMs). We’re looking for smart, savvy, and creative Generative AI Associates to join our team.
We are building a team of evaluators to assess the quality of Large Language Model (LLM) outputs in Brazilian Portuguese (pt-BR). This role focuses on ensuring responses are not only linguistically accurate, but also culturally relevant and aligned with regional nuances across Brazil.
You will play a key role in improving how AI systems communicate with Brazilian users by identifying gaps in tone, cultural context, and localization.
What you’ll be doing:
* Write and refine prompts in Brazilian Portuguese (pt-BR) to test model behavior across a variety of scenarios
* Interact directly with the LLM in real time to evaluate responses and explore edge cases
* Review and evaluate AI-generated responses in Brazilian Portuguese (pt-BR)
* Assess outputs for:
* Cultural relevance and appropriateness
* Local idioms, tone, and natural phrasing
* Regional variations across Brazil
* Accuracy and clarity of information
* Compare multiple responses and determine which performs best based on defined criteria
* Provide clear, structured feedback to improve model performance
* Flag issues such as unnatural phrasing, cultural mismatches, or misleading content Follow detailed evaluation guidelines and maintain consistency across tasks
* Collaborating closely with language specialists, team leads, and QA leads to produce the best possible work
* Hit productivity targets for number of prompts written and average handling time per prompt
What we need you to bring:
* Bachelor’s degree or above or associates and 1 year of relevant industry experience or high school degree and 2 years of relevant industry experience
* Native fluency in Brazilian Portuguese (pt-BR)
* Strong understanding of Brazilian culture, regional differences, and linguistic nuances
* Excellent reading comprehension and attention to detail
* Ability to apply guidelines consistently and make objective judgments
* Comfort working with structured evaluation frameworks and annotation tools
* Excellent writing skills (in Portuguese)
* Strong understanding of grammar, syntax, and semantics
* Ability to adopt different voices and points of view
