Role Description
We are seeking a highly professional and empathetic Paralegal Receptionist to support a legal team remotely. The ideal candidate will be fluent in Spanish and English, with Portuguese as a strong preference, and will serve as the first point of contact for clients, ensuring a smooth intake and client communication experience.
Key Responsibilities
Answer and route high volumes of incoming calls in Spanish and English with professionalism and empathy
Take detailed messages and leave accurate notes for attorney/client callbacks
Manage front desk operations, including greeting walk-ins and handling inquiries
Provide support during high-traffic periods and maintain a calm, composed demeanor with frustrated or emotional clients (usually during the intake process).
Collaborate with legal assistants and attorneys to ensure timely follow-ups
Assist with administrative duties such as fax assignments and scheduling meetings
Coordinate with colleagues to ensure coverage at the front desk
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
Qualifications
Strong American accent with excellent English communication skills (spoken and written)
Bilingual (Spanish and English) is required; Portuguese proficiency is preferred
Candidates with trilingual proficiency (Spanish, English, and Portuguese) are highly encouraged to apply
Must be based in Brazil, Colombia, or anywhere in Latin America
Knowledge of legal procedures, case management, and document handling is a plus
Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities
Proficiency with legal case management software is a plus
Ability to thrive both independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment
Background in workers' compensation required
Background in personal injury law is a plus
Compensation: $6 to $7 per hour (Negotiable DOE)
Working Hours: Eastern or Pacific Time Zone
