Your Mission*
Your mission as Brazil’s Public Relations Manager is to position BlaBlaCar as a key player in the Brazilian mobility space. By increasing awareness of BlaBlaCar’s services and positive impacts through a strong Public Relations Strategy, you can help encourage more people to turn to shared mobility, and nourish the positive image needed for BlaBlaCar’s long term success in the country.
**Your Responsibilities**
- Planning, executing and measuring the success of all Public Relations (PR) projects and activities, in sync with local marketing and government relations teams and support from an external agency
- Establishing BlaBlaCar before the national and regional media as an innovative, trustworthy, sustainable way of traveling, that defines the future of mobility:
- Developing proactive and reactive media relations strategy, seeking high-level placements in print, broadcast and online media
- Creating content for press releases, byline articles and keynote presentations
- Managing external public relations agency on strategy and day-to-day matters
- Staying informed on trends, issues and news about both the business and consumer worlds of mobility and technology.
- Devising and implementing comprehensive communication tactics that build buzz and awareness for the bus marketplace as this is a newer activity for BlaBlaCar in Brazil
- Representing BlaBlaCar as external spokesperson (press inquiries and speaking engagements at conferences/panel discussions/symposiums)
- Handling and supervising short-term reactive communications in case of crisis
**Your Qualifications**
- 4-6 years of experience with communications and press relations, preferably working with startups
- Ability to translate the company's high level goals into an effective PR strategy; ability to execute and improve on that strategy
- Relevant personal network in media and press (print, online and electronic)
- Spotless Portuguese writing skills: ability to produce clear, compelling and impactful content
- Capacity to work autonomously with tight deadlines; fast learner
- Resilience: ability to learn from failure, capacity to bounce back
- Good presentation/spokesperson skills
- Fluent communication skills in English and Portuguese, Spanish is a plus!**What we have to offer**:
