Courses may include Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Algebra II, and Geometry. Instruction should be grounded in research-based strategies for mathematical thinking and aligned with national standards for middle school mathematics.Differentiated Learning: Adapt instruction and assessments to meet the varied proficiency levels, learning styles, and individual needs of students, fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.Student-Centered Practices: Facilitate hands-on exploration, student collaboration, and inquiry-based experiences that promote curiosity, problem-solving, and a deep understanding of mathematical concepts.Collaborative Teaching: Partner with colleagues across disciplines and campuses to support interdisciplinary connections and enhance student learning through shared themes and cross-curricular projects.Student Development: Support students' growth as confident mathematical thinkers and problem-solvers by promoting risk-taking, curiosity, and a growth mindset. Demonstrate an understanding of the developmental stages of middle school students, attending to both academic and social-emotional needs.Assessment and Feedback: Use a variety of formative and summative assessments to monitor and evaluate student progress.
