HR Manager – Brazil Operations

Claire Joster is supporting a multinational company in the electronic components sector (automotive, industrial, telecommunications, and medical devices). With operations in over 20 countries, the company is known for innovation, quality, and operational excellence. The client's identity will be disclosed during the recruitment process.
Role Purpose:
To lead and execute the HR strategy for Brazil, ensuring alignment with global business objectives. Act as a strategic business partner to local leadership while managing talent acquisition, development, retention, employee relations, labor compliance, and union relations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with global guidelines
* Lead end-to-end recruitment for technical, operational, and managerial roles (engineering, production, R&D)
* Drive leadership development, succession planning, and performance management programs
* Ensure compliance with Brazilian labor laws, collective bargaining agreements, and regulatory standards (NRs)
* Manage relationships with unions and government entities
* Conduct climate surveys and implement action plans to improve engagement
* Serve as primary HR contact for global headquarters, including reporting and policy alignment
* Lead Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) and people-related ESG initiatives
* Oversee payroll, benefits administration, and HRIS (SAP or similar – a plus)
Mandatory Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Psychology, Law, or related fields
* Postgraduate degree or MBA in HR Management or Business Administration
* Fluent English (mandatory) – required for daily interactions with global teams, reports, and negotiations
* Previous experience in the manufacturing industry (electronics, automotive, or high-tech preferred)
* Solid knowledge of Brazilian labor law and union relations
* Strong data analysis skills and experience with HR metrics (KPIs, headcount, turnover, absenteeism)
Desirable Requirements:
* Intermediate/Advanced Spanish – to support Latin American operations
* Experience in matrix-structured multinational companies
* Certifications in Change Management, Coaching, or OKRs
* Knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors or Workday
