About the Role
Build, from the ground up, the technology platform of Credit Saison Brazil’s new SCFI (Sociedade de Crédito, Financiamento e Investimento) - a regulated credit institution currently under constitution with the Central Bank of Brazil.
Own the end-to-end systems architecture connecting core banking, credit origination engines, ERP, cloud infrastructure, and 20+ external government and regulatory systems (BCB, B3, DETRAN, Dataprev, FGTS Digital, COAF, Serasa, among others).
Design, deliver and operate the Integration Layer on AWS (API Gateway, Lambda, EKS, SQS/EventBridge) that orchestrates data flows across Matera (core banking), Onidata (credit engines), Oracle Fusion (ERP) and all external partners.
Lead and grow a high-performing technology team, managing a combination of internal engineers and strategic vendors (core banking, ERP and credit SaaS partners).
Define and enforce software architecture and engineering standards, foster a culture of technical excellence, collaboration and continuous learning, and be the hands-on technical authority in the room.
Translate business requirements from Credit, Treasury, Compliance and Operations into scalable, auditable and secure technology solutions aligned with CSBR’s growth strategy.
Ensure regulatory-grade infrastructure and information security: CMN Resolution 4893 / BCB Resolution 85 cyber requirements, LGPD, Open Finance readiness, and all CADOC reporting obligations applicable to an SCFI.
Support the launch of new credit products and the funding stack, making build-vs-buy decisions and owing to the technology budget.
Requirements
10 to 14 years of progressive experience in technology leadership, solutions architecture or platform engineering, with at least the last 4–5 years in financial services (banks, SCFIs, SCDs, fintechs, BaaS providers or payment institutions);
Proven track record of building a platform from zero or leading a greenfield / core banking implementation — not only maintaining or optimizing existing systems;
Strong technical background in software architecture, systems integration and software engineering, with hands-on experience designing and operating multi-system architectures (3+ enterprise systems integrated end-to-end);
Solid expertise in AWS cloud infrastructure in production, regulated environments: EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, EKS/ECS, SQS/EventBridge, S3, RDS, VPC design, IAM, CloudTrail, GuardDuty;
Hands-on experience with API-first architectures, event-driven integrations, microservices, OAuth2/JWT, and patterns such as circuit breaker, retry, idempotency and data reconciliation;
Experience managing multidisciplinary technical teams (development, architecture, DevOps, agility) and coordinating multi-vendor delivery across simultaneous engagements;
Knowledge of information security programs and governance frameworks applied to financial institutions: CMN Resolution 4893 / BCB Resolution 85, LGPD, ISO 27001, SOC 2, BCP/DR, incident response, penetration testing and vulnerability management;
Familiarity with Brazilian financial regulation technology: COSIF chart of accounts, CADOCs, SCR, SISBACEN, PIX/SPB, B3/SNG, COAF/SISCOAF — you don’t need to know them all, but you must be fluent in what they mean for a regulated SCFI;
Fluent English (spoken and written) — this role has a dotted line to Saison International (Singapore) and presents to Credit Saison Japan (Tokyo); Portuguese at native level is also required;
Nice to have
Direct experience with core banking platforms (Matera, Temenos, Mambu, Thought Machine, Technisys) and/or Oracle Fusion ERP;
Experience at an SCFI, SCD, digital bank, BaaS provider or credit fintech;
Certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect (Associate/Professional), TOGAF, CKA/CKAD, CISSP/CISM, ITIL 4, or core banking platform certifications;
Experience with credit products and funding (CDB, Letras Financeiras, etc);
Experience building data lakehouse architectures on AWS (S3/Glue/Athena) and supporting credit analytics, portfolio monitoring and ML model pipelines;
Experience with Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI applied to financial services, and ability to translate those trends into practical, compliant solutions;
