Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience working in partnerships, corporate communications, management consulting, private equity, go-to-market strategy, or sales.
- Experience working in the news industry.
- Ability to speak and write in Portuguese and English fluently.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in business development or partnerships with news publishers.
- Experience building relationships and influencing key decisions and/or driving urgency on key priorities internally and externally.
- Knowledge of the business and public policy landscape.
- Ability to clarify and communicate issues for an executive audience internally and externally with excellent presentation skills.
- Ability to build trusted relationships, influence key decisions, or drive urgency on key priorities.
- Ability to deal with ambiguity, solve problems, and scale effectively across a highly distributed organization.
**About the job**:
In this role, you will lead a team of Industry Relations Managers, and work with cross-functional leadership to develop and execute our partnership strategy with key news industry partners, including associations. You'll shape our approach to industry innovation initiatives in the region. Also, you will manage critical initiatives in the region, including one-on-one Partner Program, and Google News Initiative priorities.

**Responsibilities**:
- Manage and oversee our approach to prioritizing relationships with key industry stakeholders, including associations, in collaboration with the News Partnership Managers and leads, setting One Google strategy for how we engage.
- Work with global teams to share and develop programs, products, and training plans of the Google News Initiative (GNI) and executing on a deeper GNI presence as needed with country teams and your target stakeholders.
- Play an active role in gathering market/industry insights, current sentiment towards Google and our industry efforts, and contribute to the team’s overall understanding of your market and partners.
- Evaluate opportunities and present recommendations to the in-country, regional, and global management teams.
- Manage a team of industry relationship managers working in the market, with a focus on professional accomplishment and well-being.
