We are seeking a sharp, execution-focused Construction Project Engineer to support our client's glazing and entrance projects from award through closeout. This role is the backbone of project coordination — handling submittals, RFIs, scheduling support, procurement tracking, and field communication to keep work moving fast and clean. Responsibilities:
Your day will be varied and busy with repetitive tasks and you will collaborate with and support four project managers with their project management needs. You will report directly to the owner of the company. In this role, you will be the hub in the center of the wheel, so you'll need to be energetic, friendly, responsive and professional. It should be fast-paced but fun (if you do it right) and you'll have nothing but friendly and professional team members who want you to succeed.
* Project Execution Support
o Assist Project Managers in day-to-day delivery of commercial glazing, curtainwall, storefront, and door scope.
o Track project milestones, priorities, and deadlines to ensure field crews have what they need before they need it.
* Submittals & Documentation
o Prepare, review, and manage submittals, shop drawing workflows, product data, and approvals.
o Maintain accurate project records, including specs, revisions, and installation documentation.
* RFI & Coordination Management
o Draft and track RFIs, clarifications, and architect/GC responses.
o Coordinate directly with general contractors, architects, suppliers, and internal field leadership.
* Procurement & Material Tracking
o Support ordering and lead-time tracking of glass, aluminum, hardware, and specialty materials.
o Monitor delivery schedules and ensure materials align with installation sequencing.
* Field Communication
o Act as the communication bridge between office project teams and jobsite crews.
o Attend coordination meetings as needed and help resolve scope conflicts quickly.
* Closeout & Turnover
o Assist in punchlist completion, O&M manual assembly, warranties, and final closeout packages.
o Ensure projects wrap clean — no loose ends, no missing paperwork
Qualifications, Skills, and Key Competencies:
Required
* 1–3 years experience in construction project coordination, engineering, or project management support.
* Strong organizational skills — you can manage multiple active jobs without dropping the ball.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams); ability to learn project software quickly.
* Clear communicator — written and verbal — with contractors and internal teams.
Preferred
* Experience in glazing, curtainwall, storefront, doors/hardware, or exterior envelope trades.
* Familiarity with Bluebeam, Procore, AutoCAD, or similar construction document tools.
* Understanding of construction sequencing, shop drawing review, and procurement cycles.
