The Consulting Manager / Senior Consulting Manager

The role (level based upon experience) will manage workstreams within client projects, including procurement-related operational and opportunity assessments, strategic sourcing, category management, spend assessments, and other procurement and supply chain consulting activities. The person must interact with clients at all levels, including executives, and possess solid consulting, project management, quantitative & presentation skills (advanced Excel & PowerPoint), extensive procurement experience, and the ability to produce quality work with minimal oversight.

What can you expect to do?
Engage directly with clients on procurement and supply chain initiatives focused on improving efficiency, driving effectiveness, and increasing their ability to influence spending and deliver value.
Manage and support client project workstreams, including:
Supply chain and procurement assessments
Category Management and Strategic Sourcing
Procurement strategy roadmap creation and capability development
Scenario modeling and analytics
Support internal firm‑building initiatives (as a Manager/Director) such as:
Scoping, market, and supplier research
RFx development, management, and evaluation
Supplier evaluation & selection
Negotiations
Operational improvement & innovation
Business development and practice development (knowledge capital, proposals, RFP responses)
Benchmarking
Client research
Employee development
Managing resources and client or internal projects
Leading teams of consultants, analysts, and staff to oversee client support and service delivery
What is the experience needed to be successful in this role?
5+ years of experience with a consulting firm
6+ years of experience in procurement, either consulting or as a practitioner
Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent from a top‑tier school or a school with a well‑recognized procurement or supply chain program
3+ years of experience managing direct reports and directing project teams
Proven track record of managing consulting projects to a successful outcome, working with ambiguity and unclear requirements
Demonstrated ability to manage engagement teams supporting clients in strategic cost reduction initiatives, including:
Opportunity assessment
Sourcing strategy development & execution
Supplier performance management
Skill in managing clients through all phases of typical strategic procurement initiatives (sourcing opportunity assessment, functional procurement assessment, strategic sourcing, supplier performance program development, organizational transformation, etc.)
Expert-level skills with financial assessments, data assessments, MS Excel (pivot tables), chart and graph creation, and MS PowerPoint presentation development
Ability to travel to client sites as needed
The pay range for this role is $115,500 - $207,900. Job‑related, non‑discriminatory factors used to determine the actual offered rate include qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and consideration of internal equity.
The anticipated close date of this job requisition is December 31 2025. The position is eligible for short‑term incentive based on performance. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance plans; paid time off accruing at a rate of 3.07 hours during the first year; 4 weeks of paid parental leave; 11 company‑paid holidays in 2026 (9 fixed holidays and 2 optional floating holidays); 401(k) retirement plan; and employee stock purchase plan.
