Job Summary
As a Test Automation Tech Lead, you will make a significant contribution to product quality validation, test automation and continuous delivery by collaborating closely with cross-functional teams. The Test Automation Tech Lead evaluates required tools, promotes process improvements, and shapes standards and best practices while providing expert guidance to project teams across the organization. This role plays a fundamental role in driving the initiatives, plans and actions to guide the team.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Guide the client and the testing team in building and improving the quality assurance process, also supporting the development team in the testing process, guidelines and best practices;
* Seek to fully understand the product and business needs and discuss information needs with the product area;
* Apply your knowledge and experience in planning and developing manual and automated tests (including unit tests, integration tests, GUI tests, acceptance tests, performance tests, etc.), and also in defining and deploying performance testing tools;
* Develop and implement ways to facilitate the team's work, automating test and deployment routines;
* Create a strong connection with people from different teams (quality, development and product) in order to facilitate communication and alignment;
* Search for bugs in the software, aiming to improve test scenarios and test coverage to identify problems and improve product quality;
* Plan and build test infrastructure aligned with CI/CD objectives using local or virtual (cloud) machines, ensuring that the system and information are secure, and that applicable people have appropriate access;
* Seek continuous improvements in quality processes, enhancing and influencing the use of best practices in the software development life cycle.
Essential Skills
* Proven experience Leading and Mentoring a team;
* Proficiency with test automation frameworks and tools such as Playwright (with TS), Pytest, FastAPI;
* Experience with CI/CD and pipelines;
* Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies;
* Familiarity with PostgreeSQL, MySQL, Javascript, Typescript and Python;
* Knowledge of creating scripts using automated testing tools;
* Experience with Jira, Git, Notion, Confluence.
