At Qaracter, we are expanding our team in Brazil and looking for experienced Mainframe professionals to join strategic projects with leading financial institutions. You will be part of a high-performance team in a dynamic and international environment.
What You'll Do
* Administer and support DB2 databases in z/OS environments, ensuring availability and integrity in mission-critical systems.
* Participate in data and system migration processes, abend analysis, and performance tuning.
* Manage PTFs, ZPARM adjustments, and environment refreshes in production.
* Collaborate with backend and online system teams, ensuring data consistency in transactional operations.
* Continuously monitor and maintain environments using tools such as DB2 Admin, QMF, and Mainview.
What We're Looking For
* Experience with DB2 in z/OS and database administration in critical environments.
* Knowledge of JCL, TSO, and DB2 monitoring and administration tools.
* Background in performance tuning, abend analysis, and migration processes.
* Proficiency in PTF management, ZPARM adjustments, and environment refreshes.
* Ability to interact with backend teams and independently lead technical initiatives.
Nice to Have
* Experience in banking or financial services environments.
* Familiarity with distributed architectures and hybrid environments (on-premises + cloud).
* Knowledge of online transactional systems.
