For more information, click here.What you will do The R&D Materials Analytical Scientist is responsible for conducting analytical studies for Drug Substances and Excipients, supporting Self-Care projects across regional and global scopes in Latin America, applying knowledge of analytical chemistry fundamentals in an experimental setting to guide raw material analysis, characterization strategies and test method validation in collaboration with project teams. Additionally, the scientist will write and review technical documents, including analytical method assessments, protocols, and reports, ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures and regulatory requirements.Key Responsibilities:Propose analytical strategy and execute laboratory experiments focusing on Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) and Excipients, including method development, analytical validation, transfer, and release to support innovative Self-Care projects.Prepare comprehensive technical documents, including protocols, reports and and technical assessments.Assess the impact of changes to API/Excipient monographs and contribute to the change control process, ensuring regulatory compliance and quality standards are met.Establish materials specifications, ensuring they align with industry standards and meet project requirements.Develop justifications for API specifications based on international guidelines and local regulatory requirements, ensuring thorough documentation for audits and reviews.Exhibit a sense of urgency in addressing challenges, ensuring timely resolutions to achieve project objectives successfully.Communicate clearly with internal teams within Kenvue Self-Care, including Regulatory, Product Development, Quality, and Compliance, fostering collaboration and alignment.Collaborate effectively with project members following priorities, checkpoints, and timelines in support of objective;What we are looking forRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry or equivalent field;Minimum of 2 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, specifically within R&D Analytical laboratories.Solid background/experience in analytical laboratory environment and instrumental techniques (HPLC, UHPLC, CG, IR, PSD, DSC);Experience in executing method validation and method transfer processes focused on Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API).Familiarity with regulations and guidelines related to method development and validation for drug substances.Statistical evaluation of analytical data (focoused on validation requirements RDC 166)Advanced proficiency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.Desired Qualifications:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;Familiarity with chromatographic relevant softwares (e.g: Empower);Strong written and oral communication;Ability to work independently and in a team environment;Ability to manage multiple priorities successfully.What's in it for youCompetitive Total Rewards Package*Paid Company Holidays, Paid Vacation, Volunteer Time & MoreLearning & Development OpportunitiesEmployee Resource Groups This list could vary based on location/region*Note: Total Rewards at Kenvue include salary, bonus (if applicable) and benefits.
