They run surveys, build dashboards, and generate reports, but often lack the structured thinking to turn those outputs into decisions that actually change the business.This role exists to close that gap.You will work at the intersection of analytics, strategy, and executive storytelling — helping enterprise clients in financial services, insurance, retail, and telecommunications understand what their data is telling them and what to do about it.Who You AreYou are the kind of person who can't look at a dataset without forming a hypothesis. You structure problems before you solve them. You know that a great insight buried in a dense slide is a wasted insight — and you take pride in turning complexity into clarity.More specifically:You are highly analytical and structured in your thinking — frameworks come naturally to you.You are intellectually curious and comfortable working with ambiguity and open-ended problems.You translate complex analyses into simple, compelling narratives for senior audiences.You are motivated by the full arc: from raw data to strategic recommendation to business impact.You work well independently and collaboratively, and you're not precious about your ideasWhat Makes This Role ChallengingYou'll often need to build the analytical framework before you can answer the question. Clients don't always know what they need — part of your job is to figure that out alongside them. You'll be expected to move fluidly between quantitative analysis and executive-level communication, sometimes within the same day. This is not a role for someone who wants a clear playbook. It's for someone who wants to write one.What You Will Work OnDiagnosing drivers of customer satisfaction, loyalty, and operational performance across enterprise clients.Structuring insights from large datasets and Voice of Customer programs into strategic recommendations.Developing analytical frameworks that connect behavioral and operational data to business outcomes.Building executive presentations and data-driven narratives for C-level and senior stakeholders.Contributing to consulting proposals and new service offerings — translating insights into commercial value propositions.Supporting the development of consulting methodologies, tools, and analytical approaches.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalysis & Strategic ThinkingTranslate complex business problems into structured analyses and clear recommendations.Perform exploratory data analysis using Excel and other analytical tools.Develop hypotheses and insights from quantitative and qualitative data.Connect customer behavior, operational metrics, and business performance in coherent analytical narrativesExecutive CommunicationBuild executive presentations that communicate findings with clarity and conviction.Synthesize large volumes of information into concise, actionable messages.Adapt communication style to different senior stakeholder audiences.Commercial & Proposal DevelopmentSupport the development of consulting proposals and commercial presentations.Help structure value propositions that connect analytical insights to client business challenges.Collaborate in preparing business development materials and new service offerings.Required SkillsAdvanced PowerPoint — you build slides that tell a story, not just display data.Advanced Excel — data modeling, analysis, and structuring large datasets.Structured problem-solving and analytical framework development.Ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative inputs into strategic recommendationsNice to Have:SQL, Python, or R.Power BI, Tableau, or other BI tools.Experience with customer analytics, Voice of Customer programs, or customer journey analysis.Familiarity with CX platforms such as Medallia, Qualtrics, or similar.Experience & Background3–6 years in roles such as:Strategy consulting; Business analytics or insights; Strategic planning; Business intelligence or data-driven product roles.Industry experience in financial services, insurance, retail, telecommunications, or technology is a strong plus.EducationBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Statistics, Data Science, or Marketing.LanguagesEnglish — required (you will write and present to global clients in English).Portuguese — required (Brazilian market is core to our client base).Spanish — strong differentiator (several key clients operate across Latin America).Why Join SMT AdvisoryOur clients are large enterprises navigating real strategic challenges — improving how they measure, understand, and act on customer experience across complex operations.
