This is a remote role focusing on research and tracking of global trade regulations, primarily across LATAM and North America. Our team is looking for an individual to contribute insights that help keep SAP GTS systems up-to-date for our global clients.
The successful candidate will act as the first point of contact for new legal and regulatory changes and work closely with Business Analysts and ERP/GTS specialists. The role involves minimal client interaction, with a focus on research and analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain awareness of legislative and regulatory changes in assigned countries using government websites, agencies, third-party sources, and in-country experts.
* Track global trade compliance regulations, including customs duties, export controls, sanctions, tariff updates, and other relevant requirements across jurisdictions (U.S., Canada, LATAM, etc.).
* Interpret, analyze, and document new or amended legislation in an internal repository with high accuracy and clarity.
* Prepare comparative analyses of regulatory changes when required.
* Ensure research and documentation meet ISO process standards.
SAP GTS Alignment:
* Research and provide insights relevant to SAP GTS (v11 or similar), supporting product specialists on topics such as:
* Export Control & Licensing
* Import Control & Market Access
* Sanctions & Restricted Party Compliance
* Customs & Tariff Management
* Trade Agreements & Origin Management
* Regulatory Reporting & Declarations
* Product & Classification Compliance
* Collaboration & Documentation
The ideal candidate should have bilingual skills in English and one LATAM language, working knowledge of SAP GTS or similar trade compliance systems, familiarity with international trade laws and frameworks, strong research, analytical, and documentation skills, and excellent attention to detail.
