Patent Paralegal Project Coordinator
The role of Patent Paralegal Project Coordinator involves overseeing and managing patent filing requests, working closely with clients, translators, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery, within scope, and to the highest standards.
This is a full-time remote position requiring work in Pacific Standard Time (United States time zone), Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:30pm PST. Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is required for this role as you will be working with English-speaking teammates and clients.
Main Responsibilities:
* Preparing all documents required in connection with EP, PCT, and foreign applications.
* Initiating responses to official communications and notifications proactively.
* Coordinating filings of EP/international and foreign patent applications and related correspondence from filing to issuance of grant.
* Maintaining oversight of assigned cases and ensuring timely completion of related deadlines.
Essential Skills and Required Experience:
* 1-2 years of experience as a patent paralegal in either a law firm or corporate setting.
* Experience working with EP, PCT, and foreign applications.
* Strong organizational, leadership, and management abilities.
* Significant experience managing complex projects.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* A successful track record of collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience implementing translation tools into existing workflows.
* Proficiency in CAT tools, particularly memoQ, and various Machine Translation engines.
* Ability to define processes and standards for translation and quality assurance.
* Skilled at training internal and external users in MTPE & TM workflows.
* Skilled at vendor recruitment and negotiations.
Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm PST.
