Urban and Regional Development Experts

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as an Urban and Regional Development Expert. This is a unique opportunity to work on various EIB priorities under the framework contract.
\
The successful candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in regional and urban development, urban buildings, social infrastructure, economic development, disaster risk management, and social and affordable housing.
\
The ideal candidate should have excellent command of English (CEFR C1) and be able to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
\

Key Responsibilities:
\

1. Lead projects related to urban and regional development, focusing on transition to climate neutral economies and environmental sustainability.
\
2. Develop and implement strategies for sustainable urban mobility plans, smart cities, eco-districts, and brownfield regeneration.
\
3. Collaborate with international partners to develop and implement territorial governance mechanisms and partnerships.
\
4. Work closely with colleagues to provide technical assistance and support to clients.
\
5. Provide expertise on urban planning, urban renewal, and regeneration, carbon neutral cities, land use and transport integration, and transit oriented development.
\
6. Analyze and evaluate the impact of policies and programs on urban and regional development.
\
7. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and private sector entities.
\
8. Participate in training and capacity-building activities to enhance skills and knowledge in areas such as project management, community engagement, and data analysis.
\
9. Contribute to the development of reports, briefings, and other materials that summarize research findings and policy implications.
\
10. Engage in continuous learning and professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices and emerging trends in urban and regional development.
\
