We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Senior Buyer of Raw Materials to join our procurement team in the wire and cable industry.The candidate will be based in Sorocaba, Brazil, reporting to the Head of Raw Material Purchasing Latam, and will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies that ensure the best total value for the raw materials categories at Prysmian Brasil. The buyer should have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Senior Category Buyer, leading negotiations with local and global suppliers, and collaborating with Supply Chain, R&D, Manufacturing, Finance, and Quality teams to identify supply chain opportunities.Key responsibilities include:Plan and execute source strategies for raw materials.Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers to obtain the best value.Create and implement strategies to optimize costs and efficiency, ensuring materials meet quality standards.Ensure compliance with the company's procurement policies, focusing on process improvement and innovation.Evaluate supplier performance against contractual and quality standards.Drive year-over-year project savings.Handle complex situations related to supply chain, markets, risk, and manufacturing issues.Manage supplier performance, quality issues, and non-conformities.Identify and communicate key issues and opportunities, championing changes for a competitive cost advantage.Develop and deploy supply and risk management strategies.Create dashboard reports and manage databases to monitor performance and KPIs.Ideal candidates will have:Experience managing plastics commodities in automotive, industrial, or consumer industries.Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related fields.Proficiency in English and Spanish.Strong organizational and communication skills.Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office.The ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment managing multiple priorities.Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively, with attention to detail and effective prioritization.Strong analytical skills, including handling large and complex data sets.Prysmian is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
