Job Description:
Serving as a liaison between Technology and business areas, this role involves identifying business needs, conducting requirements gathering, and defining scope and objectives. Key responsibilities include recommending solutions or improvements to business processes through new technology or alternative uses of existing technology.
The role requires evaluating business problems, assessing the potential for automated solutions, and developing specifications for systems and procedures that meet business requirements. It also involves executing unit, integration, and acceptance testing for systems aligned with business needs, analyzing business reporting and systems data, and providing insights to support informed decision-making.
A key aspect of this role is leadership and expertise, including managing large projects, processes, products, and systems with limited oversight. The position also requires providing coaching, reviewing, and delegating work to lower-level professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Business Analysis: Evaluate business problems and assess the potential for automated solutions. Assist in identifying, evaluating, and developing specifications for systems and procedures that are cost-effective and meet business requirements.
* Testing and Implementation: Execute unit, integration, and acceptance testing for systems that align with business needs.
* Data Analysis: Analyze business reporting, systems data, and relevant performance data to provide insights to business and IT leaders, supporting informed decision-making.
* Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, systems integration, and technology solutions that address the needs of business partners.
Qualifications:
* Typically requires a University Degree and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or equivalent experience.
* Skills in communication and stakeholder management, data analytics and reporting, data cleaning, structuring, and management, capacity management and prioritization, business/insurance acumen, and IT processes and systems.
* Exceptional verbal, analytical, and written communication skills – must be comfortable speaking and writing to C-level audiences, as well as technical audiences.
