Commissioning Engineer at Siemens Energy Overview In the role of Commissioning Engineer for Medium Gas Turbines (MGT) New Unit, you will work at customer job site(s). You will be based in Brazil and will serve our global operations around the world. The position requires 80% travel to power plant sites internationally. The Commissioning Engineer role typically involves troubleshooting and commissioning of medium gas turbines, and implementing improvements and logic changes in the control system. As a member of the MGT Field Service team, you will participate in on-site commissioning of medium-sized gas turbines from both mechanical and electrical perspectives. Tasks include performing commissioning activities on the gas turbine, maintaining contact with the customer and the project team, and handling administrative and logistical tasks. Responsibilities Be the face of Siemens Energy at the customer site, building and maintaining a positive relationship. Foster a solution-oriented approach to customer interactions. Maintain good progress in coordination with the customer team and Siemens Energy project team. Provide reporting and keep documentation up to date. Ensure compliance with Siemens Energy procedures and EHS/Quality standards. What You Bring Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field. Experience in commissioning of gas turbines; high voltage knowledge is an advantage. Experience working in the field with focus on mechanical and/or electrical work. Strong collaboration skills with expertise in risk management and adaptability. Proficient in Microsoft Office; quick to learn other software as needed. Willing to travel domestically and internationally up to 80% and proficient in English (verbal and written). Leadership skills with experience in managing/leading small teams is an advantage.
