Role Description
The Remote Senior Data Analytical Engineer will join our Analytics & Optimization team. This team member will be instrumental in implementing and maintaining sophisticated digital analytics solutions for our clients, ensuring a robust data foundation that drives strategic business decisions. You will leverage your deep technical expertise and understanding of business objectives to guide clients on best practices and implement cutting-edge tracking strategies. This role will also have the opportunity to explore and implement emerging technologies, including AI-powered tools, to enhance data collection and efficiency over time. Some of the solutions this team member will be working with on a regular basis include Adobe Launch, Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Tealium iQ.

· Providing strategic guidance on data collection architecture and implementation strategies for web, app, and marketing technology solutions, acting as a technical leader on client engagements.
· Ensuring that all data collection and implementation efforts are aligned with client business objectives and contribute to the delivery of accurate and actionable insights that drive measurable results.
· Working directly with technical stakeholders to answer questions, and help troubleshoot issues.
· Creating technical documentation for our clients on how to best implement various web analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics, as well as other marketing technologies.
· Expertly configuring tag management systems (e.G., Adobe Launch, Google Tag Manager, Tealium iQ), analytics platforms (e.G., Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Adobe Customer Journey Analytics) and various third-party tracking pixels (Meta, LinkedIn, etc) based on sound data collection principles and industry best practices, as part of a comprehensive data collection strategy.
· Providing Quality Assurance (QA) of technical stakeholder deployments while thinking ahead on how to build solutions that solve common problems increasing efficiencies and improving data quality.
· Implementing and maintaining server-side tracking solutions to enhance data accuracy, improve user privacy, and overcome browser limitations.
· Integrating analytics platforms with other marketing and business systems (e.G., CRM, advertising platforms) using APIs to create a unified view of customer data.
· Optimizing analytics implementations for website and application performance to ensure tracking does not negatively impact user experience.
This is you…
· Seven or more years of progressive experience in implementing and maintaining Digital Analytics and Tag Management Systems, with a strong preference for Adobe Analytics and experience with Adobe Customer Journey Analytics.
MUST have solid experience in Tag Management Systems including at least 5 years' experience in Adobe Launch, Tealium iQ, and Google Tag Manager.
· Four or more years of strong foundational JavaScript experience, with the ability to read, write, and adapt to various coding styles, adapting to client’s existing codebases.
· Proven experience in debugging analytics implementations using tools like Omnibug, Adobe Experience Cloud Debugger, BrowserStack, etc., and ideally experience with QA monitoring tools.
· A solid understanding of and experience implementing solutions with user privacy in mind, including consent management frameworks and data minimization principles.
· Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, quantitative, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to approach technical challenges strategically in the context of data architecture and scalability.
· Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
