MISSION
The role involves technically guiding the occupational safety system, investigating risks and accident causes, analyzing prevention schemes, proposing safety standards and devices, suggesting modifications to equipment and installations, and ensuring compliance to prevent accidents.
* Provide technical guidance on occupational safety, investigating risks and causes of accidents, analyzing prevention schemes;
* Inspect locations, installations, and equipment to determine risk factors and unsafe working conditions;
* Propose safety standards and devices, suggest modifications, and verify compliance to prevent accidents;
* Inspect fire fighting equipment such as hoses, hydrants, extinguishers, and safety gear;
* Investigate accidents to identify causes and recommend corrective actions;
* Train employees on safety norms, fire fighting, and accident prevention measures;
* Participate in safety meetings, providing data, suggestions, and technical analysis to improve existing systems.
Requirements include a complete technical education in Safety Engineering (with active registration with MTE – DRT), knowledge of regulatory norms (NRs), risk prevention practices, good communication skills, results orientation, and a proactive approach with operational teams. Additionally, ongoing higher education in Administration, Engineering, Environmental Management, or related fields, experience with corporate health and safety programs, and familiarity with safety indicators, compliance actions, and audit participation are required.
