We're Hiring: Contract Data Engineer / BI DeveloperNearshore | Remote | ContractorWe are looking for a hands-on Data Engineer / BI Developer to support the development and optimization of reporting infrastructure and data models in a fast-paced environment.This is an individual contributor role ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex data challenges, building scalable reporting solutions, and working across multiple data sources.Key Responsibilities:
* Build and maintain Gold-layer data models to support downstream reporting and analytics
* Develop and optimize Power BI reports, semantic models, and dashboards
* Create and maintain SQL-based transformations and reporting workflows
* Extend and standardize Silver-layer transformations across multiple source systems
* Identify and integrate new fields, tables, and data sources into the existing infrastructure
* Document data models, lineage, and assumptions for ongoing maintenance and handoff
* Support month-end reporting processes and help automate reporting workflows
Requirements:
* Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (Snowflake or Databricks backgrounds are also welcome)
* Advanced Power BI experience, including DAX, semantic models, and report development
* Strong SQL and data modeling fundamentals
* Experience working with medallion architecture (Bronze / Silver / Gold)
* Experience consolidating data from multiple systems and vendors
* Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in async environments
Nice to Have:
* Healthcare industry experience
* Exposure to revenue cycle, claims, AR, or EHR/PM systems
