 
        
        About the job Powertrain Calibration Sr. Analyst
Main Responsibilities
Support GWM Brazil R&D team in creating exciting products for the Brazilian market, tailored to Brazilian style.
Perform powertrain calibration with the GWM R&D team, adjusting products to meet Brazilian regulations (emissions, drivability, starting, component protection, OBD, etc.).
Support vehicle testing (emissions and fuel consumption) at various test locations.
Analyze data and interface with R&D headquarters, providing guidance to solve problems locally.
Support benchmark plans and future emissions/OBD regulation studies.
Enhance the company's research and development capabilities.
Required:
 * Bachelor's degree or higher in mechanical engineering, electrical, mechatronics, automotive engineering, or related fields.
 * Over 5 years of experience in engine calibration within the automotive industry (transmission calibration experience is a plus).
 * Experience with light-duty vehicle emissions certification processes and tests (tailpipe, evaporative, OBD), complying with CONAMA 492/2018 (Proconve L7).
 * Knowledge of future emissions regulations (Proconve L8) is desirable.
 * Previous experience with flex-fuel vehicles using ethanol (minimum 3 years).
 * Experience with hybrid electric vehicles is desirable.
 * Strong technical and analytical skills.
 * Excellent communication skills; fluency in English is mandatory.
 * Proficient with Excel, capable of creating calculation sheets, charts, and data manipulation.
 * Familiar with internal combustion engines, thermodynamics, control theory, sensors, and actuators (signals and working principles).
 * At least 2 years of experience with ETAS INCA calibration software.
 * Knowledge of MDA tools.
 * As part of the R&D team, actively support program development on the company roadmap, specifically calibrating hybrid flex-fuel applications.
