Job Title: Cloud Database Architect
Description:
We are seeking a skilled Cloud Database Architect to manage and optimize our PostgreSQL database system on multiple cloud platforms, including Azure, AWS, and GCP. This role requires strong technical expertise in database management, security, and performance optimization.
Responsibilities:
* Design and implement scalable and secure database architectures on multi-cloud environments
* Monitor and ensure optimal database performance, availability, and reliability
* Identify and resolve potential database issues promptly to minimize downtime and data loss
* Maintain backups and conduct disaster recovery operations according to business standards
* Ensure data integrity and access management through proper security procedures
* Develop automation technologies for data loading and refresh activities
* Perform database migrations between different platforms (Oracle, MS SQL, DB2) to PostgreSQL databases on multi-cloud environments
Requirements:
* Minimum 5 years of experience in PostgreSQL database technology, specifically with multi-cloud environments
* Proven experience as a PostgreSQL DBA or similar role
* In-depth understanding of database management and security
* Strong problem-solving and communication skills
* Experience in managing tablespaces and roles according to security standards
* Familiarity with tools like PgAdmin4, Azure Data Studio, and psql for database maintenance
